These shorts still fit, hallelujah, although I am not sure for how much longer I will be able to tuck anything into them without looking like I ate a turkey. I keep thinking of the Shakespeare quote “Though she be but little, she is fierce” in relation to my ever expanding pregnancy belly. It doesn’t look like much but it is finally showing just a teeny tiny bit. It makes me think we may be getting into an easier time with less complications and more just enjoying being pregnant. I cannot wait for that.
Whoever invented the button-down with the stretch skirt look should earn a medal. I am not alluding to my own amazement here but simply to the fact that it looks so put together and is so not. I love a great blue button-down (I better since I have about 5 of them) and a stretch pencil skirt, yes please. I would completely wear this for school, although the skirt would be a bit more structured and the shirt would be ironed, but since it is still summer, I don’t have to worry about those things.
With a teeny tiny baby, there is a teeny tiny stomach and although most clothes fit just fine, there just are some pants that are more comfortable than others. And why not wear said comfortable pants with a clashing color? Of course, the minute my new hot flashes set in this outfit was no more but that first hour of the morning I felt pretty cute.
After calling Madison home for 15 years I realize that I am indeed a Wisco kid. I love this shirt from a local company and had to have it the moment I saw it. Although I look tough here I am pretty sure there was nothing tough in running errands and playing with the kids, ahh summer, you have been good to us. And thankful for this elastic skirt even of the wind does unladylike things to it whenever I venture outside.
Here we go again – baby number 4 should be coming at the end of February. While a complete surprise, we are so very grateful for this little miracle. The road has been hard so far but every day this baby is with us we are humbled. Now the problem is that I have no maternity clothes left since we thought we were done, I will have to get very creative in my wardrobe buys and choices.
